A 40-minute boat trip where you can enjoy the scenery of the Agano River whilst listening to the boatman’s informative talk and charming shanties.
Learn about the natural environment and lives of the people of Aga Town, which developed along the river, in the eternal flow of the water.
“Rhine Pleasure Boat” comes from a time when Isabella Bird described sailing on the Agano River as “more beautiful than the Rhine in Europe”.

All of the boatmen present the history with their own unique flair and captivating story-telling. They’ll liven up the journey with their heartfelt renditions of songs about the Agano River.

Sailings are from 10:00 – 15:00. Additional sailings may be added on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Advance reservations are not required. Please complete boarding procedures at the reception counter at least 10 minutes before departure of your desired sailing.
