- Information about Mr. Sato: Born in Aga Town, Niigata Prefecture in 1948, Kentaro Sato started his career as a teacher. After retiring from teaching, he studied under sculptor Masao Suzuki for 9 years. He then went on to live as a sculptor in Saitama Prefecture and participated in solo exhibitions, created monuments, and symposiums to develop his artistic activities. In 2006, he moved back home to Aga Town, where he continues to create works. In order to create a place for genuine human interaction that impresses people in his hometown, he created an art gallery called ‘Cosmo Yumebutai’, a Jomon museum, a restaurant, an arbor, and a handmade bath. Furthermore, this space is used as a place for agriculture and hands-on education, and efforts are being made to create an attractive space in a depopulated area by making use of the gathering of people, artistic power, and nature.
